Leeds homeless centre

Highflo

A late Victorian former primary school in Leeds was transformed into a centre for the city's homeless . Through the construction charity Crash, Hunter has supplied its Highflo guttering system to provide effective drainage for the building's large roof area.

The refurbishment of St Charles School is being carried out by contractors Vincent Dobson (Builders) Ltd on behalf of Emmaus, a charity which aims to give homeless people "a bed and a reason for getting out of it."

Because of the building's large roof area, the contractors required a rainwater system which can handle large volumes of rainwater run off. Hunter Highflo is a 170mm rainwater system specially designed to cope with these kinds of situations and was specified in smart black to complement the building's Victorian design.
